Scouting Estate Zeewolde is located in the Horsterwold nature reserve, on the banks of the Nuldernauw. Scouts and non-scouts camp on the site on sheltered camping fields inside the dike in the forest or outside the dike on the water. Challenging outdoor activities and experiencing new adventures are central here. Stroll through the vast forests of the Horsterwold, a sailing hike to Scoutcentrum Harderhaven or one of the islands in the Randmeren. But a visit to Walibi, Amsterdam or Lelystad is also possible!
Scouting Estate Zeewolde is an official Label site of Scouting Netherlands. The sites that are Label site meet the requirements that Scouting Nederland sets for a label site. These are requirements such as sufficient space, space for meeting, possibilities for the Scouting Game and accessible nature in the area. In addition, Scouting Estate Zeewolde is also SCENES certified. SCENES is a quality mark for sustainable Scouting sites. There are camping fields for groups ranging from six to sixty campers, each with its own fireplace. There is room for campers who want to camp overnight and for anyone who just wants to spend a day relaxing in the beautiful nature. Hiking, mountain biking on the mountain bike route, boating and cycling, it’s all possible at Scouting Estate Zeewolde! Scouting estate Zeewolde is freely accessible.
On 13 June 2015, Scouting Estate Zeewolde was opened by Queen Maxima, patroness of Scouting Netherlands. In addition to camping, Scouting Nederland also uses the site for its national activities, such as the Nawaka (national water camp) and the National Jamboree for youth members and the Scout-In for volunteers.
