We would like to welcome you to Scouting Estate Zeewolde. Together with other visitors you will spend the night in one of the most beautiful Scouting areas in the Netherlands. We think it is important that you have a pleasant and safe stay. That is why there are a number of rules. We would like to ask you to share this with everyone in your group .
Arrival and departure
- Please report to the service staff upon arrival. The service staff, who can be found in the Adventure House in the middle of our estate, will be happy to show you around Scouting Estate Zeewolde. You will receive information about what to do in the event of an emergency, the most important telephone numbers and addresses of all kinds of useful facilities in the area.
- Scouting estate Zeewolde is obliged to keep a night register. That is why we would like to receive a list of names of the members of your group present upon arrival. Use the format you received with your reservation.
- Motorized traffic is allowed to a limited extent on Scouting Estate Zeewolde. Loading and unloading of luggage and other material is possible. You can park in the parking lot. You can push any trailers to your site or accommodation and remain there. Between the hours of 10pm and 8am the gate will only be opened for emergies.
- There is plenty of parking, but if you come with several buses or trucks, please consult us in advance.
- Vessels can be moored at the jetty on the instructions of the service staff. Moor vessels properly and only run engines to move a vessel. Discharge the contents of the on-board toilet at the indicated location. It is not permitted to carry out maintenance work during the stay.
- At the end of your stay, we will check your site or building, the surroundings and any inventory. Therefore, make an appointment with the service staff in advance when you leave.
- When you leave, the final bill will be made, which you can pay at the reception in the Adventure House.
Your stay at Scouting Estate Zeewolde
- You are a guest at Scouting Estate Zeewolde and stay in nature. Pay attention to the peace and quiet for yourself, the environment and other guests. Make sure that musical instruments or radios are only audible to yourself. The site is quiet from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. It is of course possible to play a night game, but please consult with the service staff in advance to arrange a suitable location.
- An adult supervisor must always be present with every group staying on the Scouting estate.
- We assume that you will stay independently as a group on the estate. You are therefore obliged to provide first aid yourself. When camping, make sure you have sufficient fire extinguishers.
- Accidents happen. Always report an emergency or doctor’s visit to the service staff.
- Together with everyone else present, we take turns cleaning the sanitary facilities such as toilets and showers, a schedule has been drawn up for this. Upon departure, you as a group are responsible for your own final cleaning. We provide the cleaning products. So easy!
- Bringing pets (with the exception of assistance dogs) is not permitted. This also applies to guests and during drop-off and pick-up.
- The service staff is happy to assist you. The service staff can be recognized by an orange tie and estate clothing. If you have any questions, please report to the reception in the Adventure House.
Camping on the estate
- Camping on the Scouting estate is only possible in tents. Caravans, campers and trailer tents are not allowed access unless otherwise agreed in advance. If this is exceptionally permitted, the overnight costs will be increased by “standing charge”.
- Wash dishes at the tent and only use biodegradable dishwashing liquid (available from the service staff). Make sure that you only throw away hot water when it has cooled down in the special washing up tubs.
- Electricity can only be used outside the buildings in exceptional cases and after prior consultation with the service staff. The use of aggregates is not permitted.
- Gas installations including gas hoses must be approved.
Activities at Scouting Estate Zeewolde
- Swimming is only permitted in the ‘Talaab pond’ and outside the dike in the Nuldernauw. Diving from the jetty or from moored vessels is not permitted due to the limited depth.
- Do you want to use pioneer wood? Which can! Please notify the service staff if you wish to use this.
- You assemble and dismantle the tents you use from us, under the supervision of the service staff.
Campfires and open fire
- At your camping field there is a fireplace for a campfire and/or barbecue. Use the fuel barrel and the fire wood that you can obtain from the service staff. Wood gathering is not permitted.
- Never leave the fire unattended and provide a bucket of water near the fire. Stoke controlled.
- In the event of prolonged drought, a burning ban can be imposed.
- Cooled ash can be disposed of in the ash container next to/behind the Adventure House.
Nature, hygiene and waste
- We like to keep the grounds beautiful. Do not dig, avoid damaging the crop, do not pick flowers and do not chop trees.
- You can use most of the site for activities, with the exception of the dike. No activities may be organized here.
- You can borrow burlap from the service staff to make structures on trees. Its use is mandatory to protect the bark of the trees..
- Do you have waste? Please return it separately and do not leave any waste on the site. You can hand in empty batteries to the service staff. You will take used game, camping and theme materials home with you at the end of your stay.
Liability
- The service staff is obliged to do everything for the good maintenance of the accommodation, the grounds and the camping. They therefore have the right to refuse entry to someone or to terminate their stay there if someone does not comply with the rules.
- Users who damage property of Scoutinglandgoed Zeewolde must reimburse the costs of repair work and materials.
- Users indemnify Scoutinglandgoed Zeewolde against all claims from third parties for compensation for damage of whatever name, insofar as that damage arises from or is related to their presence as a user.
Additional camp rules for the accommodations and other buildings
- Are you staying in the accommodation building? We will walk through the accommodation together, where you will check the inventory based on the inventory list. The basic principle is that you leave the building tidy upon departure and that all materials you have used are returned to their original place.
- Smoking is not permitted in and around the buildings.
- To keep the tables and chairs tidy, the inside furniture may only be used indoors.
- Buildings are equipped with a fire alarm system. This serves as an evacuation signal and also warns the service staff. In the event of a false alarm during the period of use, all resulting costs will be at the expense of the user. The costs per false alarm are at least € 200.00.
- The service staff has the right and responsibility to check the installations and fire safety measures present in the buildings.
- It is not permitted to consume drugs or excessive alcohol.
- A service staff member is present in the Adventure House 24/7.
Additional conditions for large groups and events
- In the case of events and large (group) camps, additional conditions may be imposed. We would like to discuss these events with the organization at an early stage.
