Come visit Boer Sjaak!
I would like to take you on a short tour of our dairy farm. In groups we take a look at the milk tank, the 24-stand rotary milking parlour, the cows and calves in our young cattle stable, among other things. In addition, the children and parents or supervisors receive a brief explanation of the assignments, tailored to their own level.
I like it that children can see what is happening on our dairy farm in a playful way during a farm visit; "Where does milk come from and how is it produced", "How does a calf develop into a cow". The children explore “Bij Boer Sjaak” by feeling, smelling, tasting and experiencing through various assignments.
My name is Hildegonda Ytsma and I run a dairy farm with my husband.
Our farm is within walking distance of Scouting Estate Zeewolde. In addition to being an educational farmer for Kom bij de Boer, I work in primary schools. In September 2021, I completed the collegial visit and obtained the Boerderij Educatie Nederland quality mark.
Different target groups are very welcome!

Primary schools (groups 3 to 8), which can be booked on a Wednesday or Friday, can get acquainted with farm life for two hours for only €50.00 per class*. The children can experience the farm themselves through various assignments. Doing it yourself, feeling it, smelling it, hearing it and experiencing it yourself: a beautiful memory of the school camp. For more information, we would like to refer you to my website: wwww.bijboersjaak.nl Schools from Zeewolde can book via the NDE guide.
*This amount is possible because the Kom bij de Boer Association has financiers who finance the remaining € 100. Normally a farm lesson costs € 150.

Pitch & Putt is a golf game that can be played by anyone without a golf proficiency certificate. Similar to golf, the idea is to play a golf ball into a hole with a golf club, but the holes are shorter and only two clubs are used, one for pitching and one for putting. A pitch and putt course basically consists of 18 par 3 holes that are 30 to 90 meters long from the tee to the flag. The sport is especially popular in Western Europe and Australia. The game can also be played in teams (of up to 4 players).

Equipped with sturdy overalls, a protective mask and of course your paintball gun (or laser gun) with a full magazine, you enter one of our challenging arenas. After the starting signal, paint balls immediately fly around everywhere. You sprint and dive behind one of the many objects. Hide behind a real sailing ship, enormous tractor tires or under car wrecks. Crawl through enormous sewer pipes or climb to a lookout post. With ideal coverage you can eliminate one opponent after another.
During the Xperiences on the Paintball Beach, paintball and laser tag get an extra dimension. Take on a SWAT team or win The Golden Gun!
The Paintball Beach also offers space to relax in our cozy bar, for a snack and a drink.
Closed on Sundays. Special opening hours can be arranged for large groups. There are costs associated with parking your car (parking at Strand Horst), but you can also take the ferry from Zeewolde (on foot or by bike).

This "city game" was initially designed for larger groups (15 to 100+ people). The goal of the participants is to earn as much money as possible per subgroup. This can be done through a variety of assignments ranging from intellectual to very practical. These are spread over a certain area. In addition, we have made the game very competitive. For example, due to the fact that under certain circumstances money can be stolen from each other and a number of tactical decisions have to be made.
Money Chaos takes place in Harderwijk, can be used by large groups, encourages a group to take action and is financially very manageable. Ranging from €17.50 to €14.50 p.p. depending on the group size. This can also be done in other cities or large villages for an additional charge. See the website below for current prices.
This activity is offered in collaboration with veluwegroepsuitjes.nl
This activity can be played with 8 to 36 people and will absorb you completely. Hunted takes place in a special piece of forest in Ermelo. Before the start, the group gathers at a trailer from which they can independently collect all group materials and watch a specially made instructional video together. After this, two collaborating teams start looking for the extraction point. Codes can be collected at every assignment and location. By communicating well with the walkie-talkie and navigating with the GPS, the extraction point comes closer and closer. However, there is always at least 1 Hunter active to intercept groups and thus provide time for punishment. The scenes and adrenaline that arise are wonderful to experience.
Hunted is therefore a game like no other. This creates great experiences and great gaming fun. However, this game is slightly more focused on older target groups and is marketed for €36 to €38 per person. See the website below for current prices.

The Arkemheen polder is part of the Arkemheen-Eemland National Landscape (www.arkemheen-eemland.nl) and a Natura 2000 area. The wigeon, the little white swan and the meadow birds are extra protected here. It is a unique nature reserve with breeding grounds for many species of water and meadow birds and a foraging and wintering area for migratory birds.
The visitor center is located in the old coal shed of the steam pumping station and underwent a metamorphosis in 2016. The new permanent exhibition has been organized by the Vallei en Veluwe Water Board, the Association of Natural Monuments, LTO North Veluwerand department, the BAO Foundation and the Arkemheen Stoomgemaal Foundation.
The surprising elements give visitors, young and old, a good idea of the unique cultural-historical natural values of the Arkemheen polder. There are treasure hunts, a breathtaking photo wall, cuddly polder animals, the dike warden tells her story; there is plenty to do.
In the visitor center you will also find all kinds of information about activities in the Arkemheen-Eemland National Landscape and the Veluwe. Coffee, tea and soft drinks with something tasty are also available here
Changing exhibitions can be seen in the attic of the visitor center and from here you have a beautiful view over the polder. There is a bird watching window with bird watchers to observe the polder. Due to the rewetting, so many birds have never been seen as in the past two years.
