Welcome! Thank you for using (parts of) the Adventure House. With 82 beds, 2 living rooms, each with its own fireplace, a professional kitchen and various workshop rooms, a good place for the start of your Adventure in Nature. The Adventure House was completed in 2021 thanks to many gifts and donations. The building is equipped to accommodate and entertain 2 groups at the same time. It would be great if you could use this building in the right way with us.
Responsibility
If you come with a group, we ask for a contact person from the group who is our point of contact for the entire stay. This person ensures the good atmosphere during the stay and ensures that the rules of the game, as described in this document, are respected.
- If our guidelines are not followed by the group or by a group individual, a (written) warning will be issued. If it turns out that the guideline is violated again after a warning, the employees of Scoutinglandgoed Zeewolde have the right to remove both groups and individuals from the sites. When this happens, the right to refund the monies paid expires.
- Scouting Estate Zeewolde is not liable in the event of loss or theft of property.
- You stay with us at your own risk.
- Pets are not allowed on the entire Scouting estate.
Arrival
- Upon arrival, one of our staff will welcome you and show you around the Adventure House and the grounds.
- Submit a night register upon arrival. In the event of an emergency, this is of vital importance.
- You will receive the access code of the Adventure House and walk around the Adventure House together with one of our employees. If there are still defects, missing persons or complaints, please report this immediately to our employee or reception and otherwise within two hours of arrival so that we can remedy this immediately.
- Our staff member will point out the bedrooms and living room. If there are any bedrooms left over and you would like to use them, please let us know. Additional costs may apply.
- The standard arrival and departure times are included in your confirmation.
Departure
- Indicate at the reception about an hour before departure to do the final check together.
- Scouting Estate Zeewolde takes care of the big final cleaning (at an additional cost) and we agree that upon departure you will have done the following things:
- When renting a group accommodation, leave the accommodation broom clean.
- Make sure that there is no more rubbish inside and outside and that rubbish bins / bins are emptied into the correct container.
- Put all the used materials back in the same place.
- Crockery is clean and dry in the kitchen cabinets.
- Rented bedding has been collected and collected in one place in a dormitory.
- Report damage or loss at the reception. We will charge you the cost of replacing items This also applies if we have to clean more.
During your stay
- Our staff will do everything they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Comments, questions and complaints will be happy to be taken care of by our staff member at the reception.
- Keep escape routes, emergency exits, hose reels and fire extinguishers freely accessible at all times!
- Please keep the location swept clean during your stay.
- The toilets are brush clean on departure.
- Only use the available bulletin boards to hang up papers.
- Do not use any nails, thumbtacks, duck tape or adhesive tape, as this will cause damage.
- Pack waste in plastic bags and dispose of them in the appropriate containers. Waste is collected separately.
- All furniture in the Adventure House may only be used indoors.
- The kitchen is an unsafe place for children, keep this in mind.
- If you use the deep fryer, please clean it yourself, you can hand in used frying oil to us.
- After the delivery of catering products, the Scouting Estate is no longer responsible for food safety.
Sleeping place
- For an overnight stay, guests bring their own bedding (sheets, pillowcase and blanket/sleeping bag).
- In the Adventure House, you may only sleep in the designated sleeping quarters.
Sound
- Your activities, both indoors and outdoors, should not cause any inconvenience to other users.
- Between 01:00 and 07:00 there is a prescribed night’s sleep. This means that no loud noises may be heard, both in the Adventure House itself and in the outdoor areas and public places.
Fire safety
- In some locations, special campfire sites have been set up for making campfires. For fire safety reasons, campfires are only allowed in these places. Do not stack the wood higher than knee height and keep bucket/fire extinguisher handy. Our locations are close to nature reserves. As a result, the fire brigade and the Forestry Commission are extra alert when it comes to open fires. If they issue a negative open fire advice, it is binding. This applies to both campfires and barbecues.
- A controlled fire extinguisher is available in the group accommodation. Use this device only in emergencies. If, in our opinion, a device has been used pointlessly, costs will be charged as a result.
- Several fire detectors have been installed in the Adventure House. Only use this in emergencies. If, in our opinion, a fire alarm has been used unnecessarily, we will charge for this.
- All buildings of Scoutinglandgoed Zeewolde are non-smoking.
First aid
- Bring your own approved first aid kit and be informed about what to do in case of accidents. You are responsible for providing first aid.
- Ask the staff present for the details of the GP surgeries on duty. If you need a GP, you must first call the GP on duty.
- If you call for the emergency services, please inform our staff immediately so that they can open the gate and guide the emergency services.
Transport
- A maximum speed of 15 km per hour applies on our sites.
- Always park your vehicle in the designated area.
- Always keep entrances and exits clear for any emergency services that may be called in.

End-of-stay cleaning
In order to be able to offer the tenants a tidy and clean Adventure House after your stay, we use an external cleaning company to ensure that the Adventure House or parts of it are cleaned properly and according to our standards.
The minimum costs that we leave behind in case of not “broom clean” are:
- Cleaning of all bedrooms on the ground floor € 314.73
- Vacuuming floors and stain removal Cleaning of all common areas (living rooms + corridors) € 437,29
- Cleaning Kitchen – small service € 365,90
- Removing the top of the countertop
- Cleaning the sink– Wiping the outside of kitchen cabinets
- Vacuuming the floor– Vacuuming the floor
- Mopping the floor
The above amount includes 9% VAT
For all other cleaning work, we are happy to consult in order to be able to charge the correct costs.
Broom-clean means that the Adventure House is delivered neat and empty. Broadly speaking, this means that:
- All rented items are together, personal belongings have been removed.
- The bedrooms, living rooms and workshop rooms have been swept and/or vacuumed,
- The fireplaces have been emptied and the heating residues have been deposited in the appropriate waste container.
- The kitchen and all appliances and workbenches and sanitary facilities are free of grease, dirt and limescale.
- In addition, of course, all waste has been collected correctly and emptied into the right container.
- Upon departure, the Adventure House was put back in the set-up as it was on arrival.
- Please note! Perhaps the Adventure House is not immediately re-rented after your departure; It is wise that no food is left behind. Keep your food leftover, divide it among your own group or share it with, for example, a food bank.
